Earlier this spring you may have seen the post, “Students share what they wish their teachers knew.” This article hit at just the time we were losing energy and struggling to keep our momentum moving forward. So we flipped the idea just a bit to “What teachers wish their student’s knew.”
Here are a few of the responses from our teachers:
“The “ah-ha’s” you have inspire all that I do!”
“It makes me happy when you show each other you care.”
“I wish you the joy of success after working hard to learn something new. Again and again.”
“I have nothing but love for you.”
“I wish you knew how very important you are to me.”
“Did you know your smile makes me smile?”
“I wish you knew how special you are to me.”
“Smile! Nothing is impossible when you believe in yourself. Keep it up! Don’t give up!”
“Learning is hard, but I love working with you and seeing you grow!”
“It breaks my heart when you are mean to each other.”
“I wish you knew how great and wonderful you are… I learn from you everyday.”
“Seeing you smile is the best part of my day!”
“No dream is too big. Yes you can!”
“I want you to know I believe in you and your abilities!”
“Helping you navigate through your life, makes mine worthwhile.”
“I wish you knew everything you do today, prepares you for tomorrow.”
“I love the look on your face when you get it!”
“I wish you knew I love it when you show leadership.”
“I wish you could see your gifts and abilities through my eyes. You are going to make a difference in this world! Go and shine!”
“I wish you knew how much joy I get when you finally understand a concept.”
“I wish you knew how special you are and how much you inspire me!”
As we stop and appreciate educators this week, please take a few minutes and share what you wish your students knew…

What a great piece, love hearing the voices of teachers infused in this piece. I also love that it is student focused! Thank you for ending teacher appreciation week, with an appreciation for the students we serve.
What a beautiful piece, Jen. I love the focus on students and their growth and learning. That’s what its all about!
